Lord Gurman & Lewis LLC (“LG&L,” “we,” “us”) is an attorney search firm with offices in New York and Connecticut. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information We Collect
Professional information about candidates. We collect professional contact details and career information — such as name, employer, title, practice area, bar admissions, work email, and phone number — from professional networking platforms, bar directories, court records, law firm websites, and other publicly available professional sources.
Information you provide. Candidates and clients may provide information directly, such as resumes, compensation expectations, search preferences, and contact details.
Website information. Our website collects only basic technical information through standard server logs.
How We Use Information
We use this information to provide legal recruiting services: identifying candidates for specific opportunities; contacting candidates in their professional capacity by phone, email, professional networking messages, and text message; presenting candidates to prospective employers as part of a search; and operating and improving our services. We do not sell personal information.
Text Messaging (SMS)
If we have your mobile number, a recruiter may send you individualized, one-to-one text messages about specific career opportunities.
- Message frequency varies. You will typically receive an initial message, with further messages only as part of a two-way conversation you choose to continue.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Opt out at any time by replying STOP. You will receive a one-time confirmation and no further messages. Reply START to re-subscribe. Reply HELP or contact us for assistance.
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
How We Share Information
We share candidate information with prospective employers only in connection with a potential placement and as part of the recruiting process. We may also share information with service providers who support our operations (such as our applicant tracking and communications systems) and who may use it only to provide services to us, and as required by law. The exclusions for mobile information described above apply to all sharing.
Your Choices
You may opt out of our communications at any time — reply STOP to text messages, use the unsubscribe option in emails, or contact us directly. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information.
Data Security and Retention
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information and retain it only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law.
Children
Our services and website are directed to legal professionals and are not intended for anyone under 18.
