We have been retained by an impressive, well-established, full-service, mid-sized law firm in Midtown Manhattan with a thriving cross-border corporate practice that seeks to hire a junior corporate associate (about 3 to 5 years of substantial, relevant experience) for a role focusing on mergers and acquisitions, finance, and general corporate matters.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage mergers and acquisitions matters (approximately 40% of practice), from due diligence through closing
• Support finance matters (approximately 40% of practice), including corporate finance, project finance, and banking transactions
• Advise on general corporate matters (approximately 20% of practice), including entity formation, governance, and commercial contracts
• Collaborate directly with partners and clients on active matters, gaining substantial hands-on experience

What the Firm Seeks
• Three to five years of experience in general corporate, M&A, corporate finance, project finance, or banking
• J.D. from a top law school and Big Law or equivalent experience
• Admission to the New York State Bar
• A demonstrated interest in international legal work is a strong plus
• Billable hour expectation of 1,700 to 2,000 hours

What the Firm Offers
• Base salary of $190,000 to $215,000, commensurate with experience
