We have been exclusively retained by a well-established, growing Manhattan real estate law firm that seeks to hire a litigation attorney for a role focused on commercial and residential landlord-tenant matters in New York City Civil Court. The firm offers a friendly environment with high morale and low attrition. This well-established firm serves as trusted counsel to some of the City’s most prominent property owners, operators, and developers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Represent landlords in commercial and residential landlord-tenant disputes
• Draft pleadings and substantive motions
• Conduct settlement conferences and pre-trial conferences
• Argue motions and conduct depositions
• Try cases and make frequent court appearances
• Manage approximately 10 challenging cases at a time with active caseload of 50 – 70 matters
What the Firm Seeks:
• 6 or more years of commercial landlord-tenant experience
• New York practice experience and New York bar admission (required)
• Solid on-your-feet experience
• Strong legal writing ability
What the Firm Offers:
• Base salary of about $170,000 - $250,000, depending on relevant experience and seniority, plus discretionary bonus
