We have been retained by a small, high-end, plaintiff-side law firm in Chicago that seeks to hire a midlevel associate with nursing home abuse experience for a role focusing about eighty percent on nursing home matters. Over time the role will move to about fifty percent on nursing home abuse and about fifty percent on a mix of medical malpractice, auto, and product liability matters. The role involves significant hands-on experience, including taking depositions, presenting experts, going to court, and motion practice. Base salary is $100,000–$150,000, depending on class year/experience, and the firm offers generous discretionary bonuses based on attorney and firm performance, as well as business origination bonuses. Attorneys typically work in the office four to five days per week.
