We have been exclusively retained by a premier 25-attorney boutique law firm in Midtown Manhattan that is seeking to hire a Managing Clerk/Attorney. This role is central to the firm’s litigation and involves overseeing court filings, calendaring, and ensuring procedural compliance. The ideal candidate will bring deep familiarity with New York court practice and play a critical role in ensuring the firm operates efficiently and in full compliance with applicable rules and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
• Review and manage court documents, filings, and related procedural requirements
• Maintain and oversee the firm’s master calendar, including all court appearances, deadlines, and filing dates
• Ensure compliance with New York court rules and procedures across matters
• Coordinate with attorneys regarding scheduling, filings, and case status
• Serve as a key internal resource on procedural and court-related matters
What the Firm Seeks
• Managing Clerk or Assistant Managing Clerk/Attorney with approximately 8+ years of relevant experience
• Strong working knowledge of the New York Civil Practice Law and Rules (CPLR)
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Prior experience with Court Alert or a similar system
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work collaboratively with attorneys and staff
• In-office schedule: 4 days per week (typically 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
What the Firm Offers
• Base salary of $160,000 to $210,000, or higher, depending on expertise and the interview process
