We have been exclusively retained on a non-public search by a well-established company that seeks to hire a junior attorney (2-4 years out of law school) for a role focused on commercial and vendor contracts. Over time, the role could expand into areas including litigation and dispute resolution, corporate, compliance, data privacy, and employment law. In addition to substantial, hands-on experience drafting commercial agreements, the company seeks an attorney who is pragmatic, driven, organized, collaborative, and adept at balancing competing priorities. The legal department consists of a small, high-performing team of 10+ professionals, offering excellent training and a highly cohesive (high morale and virtually no attrition), supportive environment. Base salary is likely about $140,000 to $150,000, with upward potential; the annual bonus is likely about $20,000, and they offer an excellent healthcare plan, a 401(k) match, a profit-sharing plan, and hours that are typically 9 to 6 without weekend/holiday work. The person in this role is expected to work in the office two (or more) days per week (Midtown Manhattan or Southern Connecticut), and they can work from home for the remainder of the week.
